Trumpet is the wake up call I will never forget. I woke up one morning and found him in my bed, freshly delivered. He wasn't going to wait for anybody which is not surprising because Trumpet likes to do things his own way. It didn't take long before he became the poster boy around here. The most photogenic dog I have, he simply commanded the camera from the moment he opened his eyes. He is a beautiful dog with a striking gaze that can melt hearts. Independant and sweet all in the same package.
Trumpet picked up National points as soon as he started racing, running with the focus and determination of his parents. In his NOTRA debut, he finished 2nd behind half-brother Panther showing his natural talent for the oval track. Some toe injuries sidelined him for a bit but he has come back strong to finish his WRCh, and his ORC at the NOTRA National in NJ with a strong 6th place finish in a 107 dog meet. He also dabbles in rally, obedience, agility, flyball and disc, which he does with incredible desire, drive and enthusiasm.
Trumpet has sired two litters in the spring of 2009. The first with TeePee, see pups on the TrumpeTee page. The second with Wings, see pups here. We look forward to watching these pups develop into great little competitors on the track, the flyball lane, the agility ring, the coursing field and in disc and dock diving.
In 2010 Trumpet bred On Target's outstanding Border Collies Vixen and Trestle. Ten black & white Border Whippet (lurcher) pups were produced at the end of March by Vixen and can be seen here. And 5 pups were produced in December by Trestle, and they can be seen here. Combining the great structure, temperament and drive of these parents, the puppies will surely become outstanding flyball and/or agility dogs.
The Trumpet x Wings breeding was repeated in 2010 and that produced 7 more outstanding pups, as seen on their page. And in early 2011, Trumpet x Carbon had a litter of 8 puppies. Click to see photos. We expect nothing else but sheer athleticism and fabulous temperament from these pups.
